POLICIES

Please read and review the policies below. All clients must certify understanding of and compliance with these policies when booking. Visionary Treatment reserves the right to refuse treatment and to cancel a session for policy violation, with no refund.

COVID AND OTHER COMMUNICABLE ILLNESSES

Please note that I require vigilance around Covid and other communicable illnesses. All persons visiting and/or receiving treatment at Visionary Treatment Massage Therapy must be fully vaccinated against SARS-COV-2. Well-fitting masks that cover both nose and mouth must be worn at all times. If you or anyone with whom you have close contact has exhibited any symptoms or has had exposure or positive test, please reschedule. All other changes must be made 24 hours in advance.

PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY

All information that is shared with me via intake form, verbal conversation, text, email, etc., is confidential and will not be shared with anyone, unless subpoenaed by a court of law. I value client privacy and will not disclose the name or identity of any client or client contact, in any social, professional, or casual context. Professional notes are kept for each session. These notes are reviewed to guide your treatment for current and future sessions, and are securely stored.

PAYMENT AND PRICING

Payment is required when booking an appointment online. If Visionary Treatment books an appointment for you at your request, payment must be made prior to treatment session using Zelle.

Visionary Treatment regularly offers a discount for package purchases. Please look out for promotional emails, and contact me with any questions. Coupon codes must be used within the stipulated time period.

CANCELLATIONS AND LATE ARRIVALS

Appointment changes can be made through the link provided in your appointment emails or by texting 240-319-8622. Texts are strongly preferred, since my phone is silenced when I am in session. Any appointment changes must be made 24 hours before your scheduled appointment to avoid forfeiture of session fee.

Your time is as valuable as mine, and Visionary Treatment will be prepared for your appointment at the scheduled time. Please arrive 5 minutes before your appointment so that we may promptly start your session. If you arrive late and the therapist determines there is still sufficient time for therapeutic outcomes, your session will be shortened and you will remain responsible for the full session fee. It is at the therapist’s discretion to determine if there is sufficient time for any treatment. Regardless of arrival time, you remain responsible for the full session fee.

MASSAGE THERAPY SCOPE OF PRACTICE

The journey of health and healing is a partnership. Visionary Treatment strives to collaborate with you on this path. If at any time you have questions regarding your visit, please let us know.

Visionary Treatment and/or its massage therapist does not diagnose illness, disease, or any other condition. All clients must complete an intake form answering all questions completely and accurately, stating all known medical conditions, since there may be possible contraindications with massage therapy. All clients must keep Visionary Treatment updated as to any changes in their medical history, including any recent injuries, procedures, etc. Should clients neglect or forget  to update Visionary Treatment, this will result in voiding any liability on the part of Visionary Treatment and/or its therapist.

Massage therapy is for the purpose of stress reduction, relief from muscular tension or spasm, for increasing circulation and energy flow, and relief from stiff joints. It is possible to experience tenderness of the affected tissue the following day. Drinking more water, rest, and gentle movement or stretching in the 24 hours following the massage enhances the benefits and will further help prevent or alleviate any discomfort.

Visionary Treatment values the therapeutic effectiveness of light touch modalities, such as myofascial release and Swedish. When deep tissue and/or neuromuscular trigger point techniques are warranted, please note that such techniques may result in momentary discomfort. It is the therapist’s discretion to engage with tissue to identify appropriate pressure, and the therapist will communicate about appropriate pressure with clients. Clients can and should at any time ask the therapist to reduce the pressure applied.

The touch inherit to bodywork is therapeutic, not sexual. No sexual suggestions, verbal or behavioral, will be tolerated. Any inappropriate statement or action by the client will result in immediate termination of the session, with the client responsible for payment of all fees associated with treatment. If a session is terminated for inappropriate sexual behavior, Visionary Treatment will be closed to you with no referral.

Visionary Treatment welcomes all people. However, all persons making an appointment must be 18 years old. Minors are welcome as clients, but a legal guardian must make and attend the appointment.
